Marvin Duane Cook

Marvin Duane Cook passed away peacefully Monday, October 19, 2026 at Kootenai Health. He was born August 24, 1941 to Bud and Bonnie Cook. He was the second of seven children. He grew up at McArthur Lake and developed a love for horses young in life. He worked in the logging and construction industry throughout his life, many years alongside his son Shawn Cook and son in law Toby Wall. His greatest joy was creek fishing and roaming the countryside, trading horses and socializing the local taverns. He loved his family and appreciated his friends who came to visit.

He was preceded in death by Bud and Bonnie Cook (parents), siblings Johnie Cook, Pat Ramsay, Lois Steen, Tracy Cook (daughter), and Jason Cook (nephew). He is survived by siblings Bonnie McEwan, Emily Owen's and Dale Cook, son Shawn Cook, daughters Tammy Wall and Jody Hendrickson, Grandchildren Logan Cook, Haley Potack, Traci Wall, Tanner Wall, Morgan Cullen and Hannah Jelinek, and multiple great grandchildren.

Private arrangements are being cared for by the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.
