Loren Douglas (Dougie) White passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025 in Coeur D Alene, Idaho after a 14-year battle with kidney failure.
Dougie was born to Douglas S and Violet F (Deselms) White on March 11, 1957 at Boundary Community Hospital.
Dougie went to grade school at Evergreen Elementary School and Graduated from Bonners Ferry High School. In 1978 he joined the United States Army where he served for six years, with three years spent in Germany. Throughout his life Dougie worked at various lumber mills in the community and in Coeur D Alene.
Dougie loved to walk and could be seen walking all over Boundary County over the years, until he became ill and long-distance walking became too difficult. Dougie also loved music and at one time had an expansive record album collection. He went to many concerts over the years, trying to see all the rock bands that he loved so much. He loved sports, politics, and collecting baseball caps, and high-top tennis shoes (having well over 200 pairs). He loved to spend time with his family and friends visiting when he could, and tried to get back home to Bonners Ferry whenever he had the chance.
Dougie is survived by his mother, Violet F. Flinn of Bonners Ferry; sisters Pamela Reoch and April (Doug) Bennett, both of Bonners Ferry; brothers Jerry Zielinski of Phoenix, AZ, and Jonny Zielinski of Moyie Springs, ID. Dougie is also survived by nieces, Barbie (Spencer) Hittle, Tanya (Matt) Morgan, MyKayla (Steven) Mulanax, Zoe Zielinski, and Harley Zielinski, and nephews, Jeffrey Wilder, Aaron Wilder, Denny Cushman, Levi Bennett, Tyson (Becca) Bennett, Garrett Bennett, Cameron Zielinski, and Gage Zielinski, as well numerous great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Dougie is proceeded in death by Grandparents, Lloyd and Rachel Hughes, Charles and Alta Deselms; Father, Doulas S. White; Sister, Sandra F Wilder; Great-Nephew Branden J Bergen; and Brother-in-Law Douglas A Reoch.
Dougie will be greatly missed by all of those that loved him so much. He will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at later date this summer.
