Jimmy Glen Fairchild

Jimmy Glen Fairchild lost his battle with Alzheimer’s and passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years Juanita Fairchild and sons; Troy, Clark and Glen. His sisters Pennie Frame, Cindy Atkins and brother Scott. He leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his youngest son Gus and his brother Harold.

Jim was born February 22, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Harold and Lorreta Fairchild. He graduated from Highschool in Titusville, Florida in 1968. In 1969, Jim enlisted in the Navy Seabees and did tours of duty in Vietnam and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Jim was very proud of his military service. In 1972 Jim married his forever love, Juanita Marie Allen. He worked as a mechanic in Bonners Ferry until he started North Idaho Energy Logs, Inc. in 1986. He successfully ran that business until his retirement in 2007. During his retirement years Jim loved travelling, motorcycle riding, flying his airplane and spending time with his family. Jim was a loving and caring man who provided well for his family. He held his friends in high regard and often found joy in lending a helping hand. Jim found great pleasure in both work and play. To the end, he would greet those he met with a smile, a good word and sometimes, an off-color joke. Jim will be greatly missed by the many whose lives he touched.

Everyone’s invited to attend his funeral services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry, Saturday, November 1st at 11 am. Followed by graveside services with military honors at Paradise Valley Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home on Friday, October 31st from 1:00 – 5:00 pm and prior to funeral services at Trinity Lutheran.
