David Wenk, 59, passed away peacefully on January 4th from a major stroke. Dave was a devoted family man, a faithful Catholic, and a pillar of his community. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and leaves behind a legacy of service, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family and country.

Dave was the Noxious Weed Superintendent for Boundary County and President of the Idaho Noxious Weed Association. He was actively involved in Boundary County and generously gave his time and talents to many organizations, including the Boundary County Fair Board, the Boundary County Republican Committee, the Boundary County Back Road Association, and St. Ann’s Finance Committee. His commitment to these groups reflected his strong sense of responsibility, civic pride, and desire to give back to the community he loved so much.

An outdoorsman, loyal patriot, and the Purdue Boilermakers number one fan, Dave was well known for his love of his country, 4th of July fireworks display, and his generous, spirited personality. Dave was often the life of the party, bringing laughter, and lively conversation wherever he went. If there was music, you often would hear him yell to play “Freebird” by Lyndard Skynard or “Night Moves” by Bob Seger. His presence could light up a room, and his stories and humor will be fondly remembered.

Above all else, Dave’s greatest joy was his family. He was a true family man whose faith guided his life and whose love for his family was evident in everything he did. His devotion, strength, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Dave will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Dave is survived by his wife, Donielle, children, Miranda Link, Haley Wenk, Rachel Feusier, and Ryan Waggoner, grandchildren, Riley Moore-Feusier, Jesse Feusier, and Olivia Waggoner. He is also survived by his sister Teresa Sheets, and brother Michael Wenk. Dave had a large extended family with multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Beverly Wenk and sister, Sandra Wenk.
