Richard Augustine Finch

Richard Augustine Finch (62) passed away at his home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on August 31, 2009. Services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:00am in Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Dick was born on November 28, 1946 in Ancon, Panama Canal Zone to Herman Francis and Lillian may (Seasley) Finch. He grew up in Sacramento, CA, and attended college in San Francisco, CA. Dick was employed at Chrysler Corporation, trucking firms, worked in management for a courier Service, and California State Government all in the San Francisco area. After moving to Bonners Ferry, Idaho he spent 14 years working for Rocky Mountain Academy and its related schools. Dick fell in love with Bonners Ferry, Boundary County and the Pacific Northwest in 1993. Meeting the people, he decided to make it permanent in 1994. With occasional trips to British Columbia, the love affair grew until he knew every stream, mountain, road, street and highway and of course the view from his house. He is lovingly remembered by his brother, his sole surviving family member, and his friends, many of whom are from Bonners Ferry.
