Thelma Jean Chersin (73) passed away at her home near Bonners Ferry, Idaho on August 30, 2009 after an extended illness. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Jean was born on June 7, 1936 in Connersville, Indiana to Charles and Anna Lucille (Lancaster) Miller. Jean was raised on a farm in Indiana and loved horses. In her younger years she rode horses competitively. Jean married Andrew Chersin on October 13, 1959 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jean was very charitable and gave to many causes. She graduated from Sonoma State University and retired from Pacific Bell Telephone Co. as a Computer programmer. Jean loved the spacious outdoors and surrounding wild life which brought her to Idaho. Survivors include 5 children Linda Louise Caruso, Edward Allen Jackson, David Lee Chersin, Andrew Joseph Chersin III, and Debra Jean Vasquez, one brother Dale Miller, Four sisters: Shirley Mahan, Naomi Dorsey, Barbara Lee Drye, and Mary Hazel Swann. She also has 20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Chersin and brother Richard Miller.
